Dear Kid

hovers unencumbered above the tallest mast on the ship, either following behind like a companion boat or in front like a pilot. Dear Kid is both compass and keel for the ship’s crew, but a guide and security. He is the sail of the ship that always propels it forward and also its anchor, keeping the ship still when needed. Everyone needs a Kid but everyone also needs to be their own ship able to find safe harbour.
